The Migration Policy Lab is an opportunity for students to develop and present new innovative strategies for the refugee response of the future focusing on the specific challenges of LGBT refugees.

Invitation to the Migration Policy Lab for students

The upcoming Migration Policy Lab will allow participants to present their strategies to a panel of experts. See the first confirmations for the panel and sign up until October 6th.

We are very excited about the upcoming Migration Policy Lab, that we are co-hosting with LGBT Asylum on the 18th of October.

Participants will get the chance to present the strategies they developed during the day to a panel of experts. Today, we can share the first confirmations for the panel.

Rikke Enggaard Olsen (she/her) is a gender and protection specialist with more than 15 years of experience working on human rights, hereunder 10 years in the context of forced displacement. For the past 4 years, Rikke has been a part of the Danish Refugee Council’s Global Protection Unit, amongst others training protection clusters globally on responsible protection information management, and driving policy on inclusive and rights-based approaches in humanitarian and forced displacement response. With an academic background in Anthropology, Rikke has a particular interest in social change processes and the intersections between law and social practice.

Michael Alexander Ulfstjerne (he/him) is part of the Global Refugee Studies unit (Aalborg University Copenhagen) and directs the nonprofit organization 'Emergency Architecture & Human Rights'. With a background in anthropology Michael has worked extensively on the economic and spatial effects of displacement with particular emphasis on issues of co-habitation, integration, housing and spatial design.

The Migration Policy Lab is funded by CISU (Civil Society in Denmark).
